After a stroke that took my memories of everything including how to read and write, I was able to teach myself to read after a lot of help and my determination. It took close to a year. I went from 12th grade to pre-kindergarten.
My daughter homeschools her children and I was one of them. She put me in the same program her children were in.
I made it as far as 3rd grade but couldn’t pass. Through listening to people read and Googling definitions with the pronunciation has helped tremendously.
Now I started reading children’s books on YouTube because it helps me and hope it can help children and adults that love hearing children’s stories.
